Inspired by some blog posts I’ve read elsewhere, here is a list of facts about me as well as my answers to some questions based on each letter of the alphabet:
Allergies – Pollen. I am prone to hay fever in the summer.
Best friend – I have quite a few depending on where they live. My best friend in London is Susie (she only lives down the road from me), my best friend in Bournemouth is Paula and my best friends in Swansea are Carys and Cath for example.
Car – I don’t have one because I don’t drive, although when I was younger I had dreams of owning a Mercedes Benz if I ever learnt to drive.
Dogs or cats? – Dogs. My parents used to have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel called Jasmine and she was so cute, but a bit of a live wire. Even though I slightly prefer dogs, I also like cats because people I’ve known have owned cats.
Embarrassing moment – When I was 14, I went on one of several holidays to Butlin’s Bognor Regis with my family. We arrived in our apartment and my dad showed my sister (then aged 10) and me our bedroom, which was Noddy-themed! I loved Noddy when I was about five or six, but I thought I was too old for him in my teens, which is why I cringed when my dad showed me the Noddy-themed room.
First piercings – My ear lobes when I was 15. About 14 years after I had them done, my left piercing closed up, so I had it redone as well as additional piercings in my upper lobes.
Goals for 2020 – To start the MyFitnessPal plan again, to continue volunteering for my agency and to work on the backlog of videos for my YouTube channel.
Happiest place – My flat, especially my bedroom and lounge.
Ice cream flavours I love – Mint chocolate chip, cookie dough and cookies and cream
Jaws or Star Wars? – Star Wars. Episode I: The Phantom Menace is my favourite in the franchise with Episode IV: A New Hope at a close second. I quite like Jaws if it is scary in parts, but I really like the iconic quote about needing a bigger boat as well as its theme music.
Kindest gesture I’ve given someone – When I was at my second primary school, there was a boy in my year who was in a wheelchair. One day when I was in the corridor, I saw my in-class teaching assistant pushing him in his wheelchair and the double doors were closed, so I opened one to let them through while the teaching assistant opened the other.
Least favourite song – Gangnam Style by Psy. What a load of overhyped nonsense!
Middle name – Dawn. I was originally going to be called Dawn April, but after my mum read a book where the author named her daughter April Dawn, she switched the names around.
Naughtiest things I’ve ever done – Running around outside my first primary school when I wasn’t supposed to when I was about six and stealing some sweets from Sainsbury’s when I was nine.
Outstanding achievements – My BA and MA degrees in animation at university
Positive quotes to live by – “If you can let go, you have found the gate to happiness,” and Rafiki’s quote about either running from the past or learning from it from The Lion King.
Question I can give various answers to – You are driving the bus. At the first stop, ten people get on. At the next stop, three people get on and two people get off. At the third stop, five people get on and one person gets off. At the last stop, everyone gets off the bus. What is the driver’s name?
Restaurants I like to eat at – Nando’s, TGI Friday’s and Harvester
Saddest film I’ve ever seen – Probably Dumbo, the original 1941 animated film. The Baby Mine scene makes me cry every time I see it. Marley and Me is another film I found very sad.
Toy that is very special to me – My teddy bear Florence that I have had since I was born.
Underrated television series I like – Hilda on Netflix. It has ethereal animation, charming characters and engaging storylines.
Viral trend I can’t stand – The one involving people throwing slices of cheese at children and pets that was popular in early 2019. What was the point in that?
Worst subject at school – Maths. I had to have private tuition with it outside of school as well as my usual lessons in school.
X-Men or The X Files? – Neither. I don’t really watch or read anything from these franchises.
YouTubers and YouTube channels I currently like – Brogan Tate, Ballinger Family, Rosanna Pansino, Rachel Grace, Colleen Ballinger, Rachel Ballinger, Holly Vlogs, The Aspie World, Life with Beans, FBE, the REACT Channel, WatchMojo.com and MsMojo.
Zoo visit that stood out to me the most – Bristol Zoo in 2010 when I went with my former friend to celebrate her 21st birthday. Her mum and her niece also accompanied us on the trip.
